Blessing ashes after cremation

My dad passed in his sleep. He was cremated. Can a priest come bless his ashes.
 
You should talk to a priest about this. It may be that a Catholic funeral or burial would be appropriate. I don’t know all about it, so that’s why I say ask a priest.

You asked whether a priest can come. Are the ashes in your possession, in your home? The Church recommends that cremation ashes be buried in a cemetery or other sacred place.

I will pray for your father. May he rest in peace in the glorious presence of God.

Talk to a priest. I had a Catholic relative who was cremated and later there was a memorial Mass for him with the ashes present, then they were taken out to a cemetery and interred.
The Church does make you inter the ashes at a cemetery or other approved place. You won’t be able to keep them in your home, scatter them in the woods, give them to relatives etc.
