Would it seem to reason, well, for me i am starting to think, that God has put obstacles in my path to prevent me from going through with things I would have done that were not only dangerous but also illegal. The only time I some how over came one of these obstacles was when joining the Army, in hind sight i was being given the chance to get out and go home but the mentality engrained from the training was to not give up. So I didnt/ and I paid a price.

So what I am getting at is I guess blessings in disguise , one way to view them is as having a horrible, down trodden life, the other is , if it were not a miserable existance one would be actually worse of a person and not the good person they are now.

Each situation has to be assessed according to its context and one has to be reasonable enough to come to a conclusion.

As for our lives, we try to live a life of righteousness. If by circumstances we are being led to this life even though it is hard but righteous instead of otherwise, then it can be counted as a blessing.

There are many people who refuse or choose rather, a less luxurious life but righteous instead of a rich luxurious life but can expose oneself to temptation. That can be considered a blessing (in disguise, so to speak).
