The number of African Americans who have abortions is a verifiable fact so I assume your taking issue with something else? I’ll make sure to remember your advice on “don’t believe it” when I hear there are priest that are pedophiles. “I don’t know any priests that are pedophiles so it must be a lie if I hear about some.” Planned Parenthood has a lot of dirty laundry and it should not be surprising considering abortions are a very dirty business.
Maybe you missed the old clip of Margret Sanger on 60 minutes but remember that the person who started Planned Parenthood believed the greatest sin a person could commit was to bring a baby into the World that was diseased or was going to become a criminal (apparently she believed you could tell a future criminal baby apart from the others…it probably wouldn’t be much of a stretch to just say she meant non-white colored people).
No, I responded to the video posted in the link. That specific woman is the person I would not believe.
I appologize if that was unclear.
Yes, PP began as a racist organization. It was an organization that was based on the idea that blacks were less human that whites. And any organization that believes that is fundamentally immoral and can never stand for anything good.
Of course, the United States started out that way, too…
Your priest/pedophile issue is actually spot on. The occasional person who does bad things does not condemn an organization dedicated to do good. By this logic, if Planned Parenthood is to be judged on the actions of its worst members, so must the Catholic Church be judged on its worst abuses.
That is a stupid, irrational way to view things, and I wouldn’t view your faith that way, and all I’m asking is to not subject other organizations to a scrutiny your own organization can’t hold up under.
Yes, I agree that the number of African Americans who receive abortion is larger than whites. But I’d also bet the differences are more socioeconomically based than melanin based.
There are multiple other arguments why the genocide argument is nonsensical. If you really are basing your oppinion of abortion providers on this argument, I will debate it with you. But more likely, I think you just oppose abortion and are looking for anything negative you can say about it.
So before I waste my time arguing something irrelevant, I’ll ask “If I could, hypothetically, prove that the genocide argument were irrelevant, would that change your stance?”
