He’s a wonderful musician and a good Episcopalian. I remember when he was at Grace Cathedral here in San Francisco, presenting an ordinand to the Bishop. Instead of reading his statement, he sang it. 🙂

Remember that he spent many years conducting the St Paul Chamber Orchestra. He does not perform just popular music. His father was an opera singer at the Met, so his background is in the classical style.
