Book by Rick Renner: Paid in full. Comments please

Has anyone read the book by Rick Renner titled ‘Paid in Full: an in-depth look at the defining moments of Christ’s passion’? Is it a book that is ok for Catholics to read (i.e. in line with church teaching)? Would you recommend it?

I haven’t read this book, but I have watched his TV appearances, which were excellent! He described a Roman scourging in a way that explains the extremity of Jesus’ suffering that brings horror to my mind as I think about it. I taped several of his presentations on the passion, for they were really worthy of seeing again and again. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with reading the book, therefore.
