Book for someone dying

An older gentleman who has greatly blessed my life has learned he has terminal cancer.

Does anyone have a gentle book with reflections on dying? He is a Christian man, though not Catholic. He is not at all anti-Catholic.

Anyway … any suggestions would be welcome. I don’t think he’s a voracious reader so probably not anything too deep.
 
I saw a book by Henri J. M. Nouwen on Amazon and I like other books by him … has anyone read *Our Second Birth: Christian Reflections on Death and New Life *?
