I have a book of Common Pray which also contains Administration of the Sacraments and Other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church. The book was my Uncle’s who was a Priest. It came up tonight in RCIA which I’m attending to be Confirmed. Father said it needs to be brought back to the Church, which I’m very eager to do. He said that if it fell in the wrong hands or my house burned down, etc. But I never fully understood what could happen if someone of ill nature got ahold of it, this is my question. It will be returned ASAP. Just interesting to me, from what I can tell it was a gift from his brother, I’m not sure how I came to have it but it was with some other Saint cards, nothing else that appears to be an artifact with a seal on it. Thank you for your time. Mary
Not sure where this post best fit, and I hope I didn’t post it twice.

I thought the Book of Common Prayer was of the Anglican/Episcopal Church? I have one from when I used to be an Episcopalian. I’m not giving mine back:p 😃 .

I don’t know why it would need to be brought back, because it’s not a Catholic prayer book…it’s Anglican/Episcopalian.

I will not have to go back, when I was telling Father about it I could not recall the name. But when he saw it he told me what it was, all is well now. Thank you for your replys
