zerinus,

This is off topic, but could you possibly shrink your picture or signature or whatever it is in your posts that enlarges the whole screen. I’ve finally figured out that it’s your posts that are doing that. For the longest time I couldn’t figure out why some threads were perfectly normal and others were just completely out of whack.

Thank you very much!!! 🙂

Nothing wrong with having books on the shelf. Having a book of mormon is no different than owning star wars novels. I myself have amased a large library over the years of spiritual type books, every thing from Catholic books to pagan and occult texts eastern philosophy I even own a copy of the satanic bible and satanic rituals (anton levay while a complete fool did make a good argument against reincarnation which I use when talking to people who belive in it). All knowledge is good it does not matter if it is an understanding of the deepest mysteries of the universe or how to work a remote control, learning is something we all must do to improve our selves and our world. i belive it is the lack of learning (love of learning that is) that makes this world such a horrible place to live.

Can I keep the Book of Mormon? I love this fictional story about how my ancestors were Jews that escaped from Jerusalem. I know there is some errors in the Book of Mormon and I have already edited them to be more in line with the Church. I call it the Corrected Book of Mormon.
Despite your ignorance regarding the peoples of the earth anciently, the Book of Mormon is another witness for Christ, as my Mormon friends would tell me.

Why are Catholics so bothered by another witness of Christ when so many dismiss the Bible?

I am not bothered by another witness of Christ.

However, scientifically speaking, the DNA of the Native Americans and aboriginals to this land is more related to the DNA of Asians than to the DNA of those who live in the Levant.

Also I could never dismiss the Holy Bible. Jesus, His Word, and His Church is what got me through my hard times…

Hi, that is normally caused by giving your monitor an incorrect screen resolution. Every monitor has a native resolution. The commonest resolution for a modern flat screen monitor is 1280x1024 (or less often 1024x768). If you right-click on your desktop a menu comes up that enables you to give your monitor the correct screen resolution. You can also switch off signatures if they bother you from your profile in CAF. Then you won’t see the signatures at all.

But I like the signatures - just not the ones that make my screen go wonky! 😛

OK, but why is your’s the only one that makes my computer do that?
That is because when you give your monitor too low a resolution is makes all images appear bigger than they otherwise should be. It also makes them appear less sharp. When the image appears bigger, it may not fit inside your screen.

One thing I wish you would do is shorten your picture at the end, I have a pretty big screen and I have to adjust everything everytime you are on. Thank you
Not to throw the topic off, but is anyone else having problems with the width of the page on this thread?
It appears to me that the picture on zerinus’ signature is causing the width of the posts to expand.
If it is just me, I will live with the inconvenience. If others are having the same problem, perhaps zerinus will change his signature picture.

Either way - Back to the discussion.

Peace
James
OT: Why can’t you narrow your signature pic down so the rest of us don’t have to scroll?

And here is a PM I received from a poster called xixxvmcm85, who had reported the same issue you are having, and was able to fix the problem as I explained to him. I hope that he will not mind if I share his PM here with you:

Dear Zerinus,

Thank you for showing me how to adjust my monitor resolution. It fixed the issue I was having.

Cheers!

The whole world can conform to zerinus, or you could just shrink your pic.

courtiswa,

Bothered? If Catholics are bothered by the Book of Mormon, it may because it is fiction. After all, if it is fiction, and it clearly is, then that means Joseph Smith was not a prophet, but either tricked by the devil, delusional or a con man. I think recognition of that inescapable fact would make Catholics (and anyone else who loves truth and has the sense to recognise it) “bothered” by the Book of Mormon.

Sorry to any who disliked my earlier post. Since her post had included Spanish, and I thought the thread was only getting a few readers, I was challenged with the idea but I certainly can see you’all’s point, so again, sorry. Merry Christmas, and happy reading.

Rose, sorry. I enjoyed reading your later post. Interesting idea.
