I recently received a promotion, which entailed starting a new team with a friend at work. We are co-leaders of the team, and – as a result – it’s not obvious to our leadership who is contributing what. As a result, I’ve been struggling with how to “get credit” and, more generally, with being prideful about my ideas, my contributions, my career, etc. I have been asking God for help, praying for my friend and our team, and (not as much as I should) reciting the Litany of Humility, all of which has been very helpful.

However, I was wondering if anyone here could recommend a book that might help. I’m envisioning a book by a contemporary Catholic business leader who struggled with the same issue, but I know that is very specific. Really, I am open to any book that could help with humility. (I’m well aware of how the words of saints written centuries ago can speak to us as if they were living and breathing in our time.)

Thank you all in advance!
