Hello CAF,

I’m getting into apologetics, and I’m thinking about getting a book. So far, I’ve read:
  1. Handbook of Christian Apologetics by Peter Kreeft (Like an introductory apologetics book. Has the basic arguments for God, divinity of Jesus, etc.)
  2. Christian Apologetics by Norman Geisler (A little more advanced. Criticizes different beliefs about knowledge [rationalism, fideism, etc.] and religion [pantheism, panentheism, etc.], then supports some of the claims of Christianity.)
I’m looking for a book that discusses REALLY heavy problems (free will, how to lead a good life, etc.) while remaining in a philosophical framework (i.e. Authors may only rant if there is some argument to back up the banter.)

I wasn’t sure if this was the proper place to put this thread, but I hope it is. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Have you heard of Controversies by Karl Keating? It’s billed as “high-level Catholic apologetics.” Perhaps that would be up your alley. I haven’t read it myself yet, so I can’t tell you specifically what topics are addressed.

Kaiju,

I could only recommend some old text books.

I was just wondering about the name you are using, if it is your real one. It strikes me as very Finnish. I am also wondering where you are physically located.
