Hello Brothers and Sisters. I’m looking for your noble recommendations. I’d like to get an easy to ready lives of the saints books or a book about angels for my sister who recently told me she no longer is attending weekly Mass. I want something she can relate to and that will touch her heart. I myself am inspired by the saints but I know some saints books are tough to read and very dry. I want one that is full of emotion and gets to the heart of the matter - testimonies of how God touched their lives and changed their hearts.

Thank you in advance for your help and prayers.

Also, a devotional for a single woman without children would be good.

I would go with anything by Scott Hahn or Peter Kreeft.

Rediscovering Catholicism by Matthew Kelly is very good.

May God bless you and your sister abundantly and forever! 🙂

during the night…I thought of St Therese, there is a daily devotional of her little gems

called The Little Way.

I also have a friend who lapsed back. of course she is still my friend! I gave her

books, as each person has their own likes its difficult to know what will speak to their heart.

none of those were successful. then I realized the very most, which is superior to all, is to

pray!

and still be her friend which comes quite natural 🙂

I would like to ask you a question. Why would anyone not want to go to Mass if they really understood what is transpiring? She needs to know this so she will want to go of her self.
If I did not understand the Mass, it would be extremely boring to me. But since I understand, I can’t wait to get there … for there He is.

Fred, I think she clearly doesn’t understand. She may understand with her head but she has yet to grasp it with her heart. My daily prayer is that God would touch her heart. Sadly I think she is blinded by sin in her life. I am trying to slowly inject words of inspiration and testimonies that will nudge her along and help her find that personal encounter with Christ.
