My friend is struggling with her faith in the existence of a Creator. Any good book recommendations on intelligent design or other proofs for God that are easy to read? Thanks!
Easy to read, God in the Dock and or Mere Christianity by CS Lewis.
Less easy to read but very convincing and more modern; New Proofs For the Existence of God by Robert J Spitzer. He is a Jesuit priest. I am in the middle of it and While I am no Einstein, I am not stupid or ignorant and it takes all my concentration to keep up with his logic and arguments. I have managed so far but I can only take the book in small doses.
I highly recommend this book: Who Designed the Designer? A Rediscovered Path to God’s Existence, by Michael Augros. It is written in a relaxed style, and uses ordinary, every day life as a springboard to step-by-step logical, intellectual thinking about God. It’s available as a paperback and as an e-book.
And I second the nomination of C.S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity.
