Can anyone recommend good books about letting go of the past, doing God’s will and finding joy in your station in life? If you read a book you didn’t like can you also share what book to avoid?

try “You’re not Rejected” by Fr. Antony Parankmalil VC.
It’s a great book filled with real life examples including his own and I believe everyone would love this book whether Catholic or not. He’s a very gifted and devoted man whom Jesus has used to do great things to show His Power in these modern days of secularism & skepticism.

I found THIS book particularly helpful during a similar type stage in my life.

The Emotions God Gave You: A Guide to Catholics for Healthy and Holy Living

I’m reading a great book on God’s will right now Prayer and the Will of God by Dom Hubert van Zeller.

It doesn’t really address letting go of the past, but the priest/author does offer lots of practical guidance for discerning God’s will and being joyful.
