Book Suggestions Anyone?

I’m writing a book about why I converted to the Catholic Church. In this book I write:

“This book is nothing new or revolutionary, but is rather a very simplified explanation as to why a Bible-believing Christian would find it mandate to convert to the Catholic Church. Many great books are written by ex-Protestants such as myself that go very in-depth into every practice, doctrine and controversy that separates Protestants and Catholics. I highly encourage you to read these books and hope I inspire you to do so in the near future.”

Do the “in-depth” books that I described sound like any piece of literature you’re familiar with? I would like to recommend these by name to my readers.

I can recommend ‘Why Catholic’ by Ray Chiddel, a friend of mine, available for download for 99c I think.
He was Anglican though, not so-called Bible-believing, but it covers much of the same ground.

In light of “the Catholic verses,” I don’t think any Protestant is as Bible-believing as they wish to think. However, thank you for the recommendation. : thumbsup:
 
More Christianity by Dwight Longenecker is pretty in-depth. Not so much a conversion story, but it is written by a convert from baptist to Anglicanism to Catholicism. Goes through what Catholics believe about Mary, the Sacraments, the Pope, Tradition, etc… Also Handbook of Catholic Apologetics by Peter Kreeft. That one answers objection from non-Christians as well as Christians who aren’t Catholic. That ones really good.

I’ll look later to see if one of Chesterton’s books really covered his personal experience. A lot of them touch on its briefly.
