Is there a book I can recommend to my girlfriend, who is 40, single, on her own, and is verbal abused by parents? They don’t like her life choices and have been verbally mean to her all her life. I’ve seen books recommended on here before but what a needle in the haystack to find on here! Thanks.
 
I don’t know about any books to recommend but you could start by research online and if you find something she will read, than print it and mail it to her.

Thanks to 3DOCTORS for posting elsewhere. I sent the info and hope she can have some tools to deal with her parents, and find some peace. I think having a spouse can really help, but being alone as she is, with these kind of parents, must be really really difficult and trying.
