Does anyone know any good books out there, appropriate for an orthodox parish library šŸ˜‰ that deal particularly with the Sacraments of Baptism/Confirmation (or generally speaking, the ā€œSacraments of Initiationā€ including sections on the Eucharist)?

This is an area that Iā€™ve noticed our parish library is sorely lacking in. There are just a few books on the Holy Spirit in the section.

Books for adults, primarily. Though if someone knows of good kidā€™s books on those two sacraments Iā€™d be happy to know of them too.

:o I know quite a few childrenā€™s books.

*Childā€™s Guide to the Seven Sacraments by Elizabeth Ficocelli

Childā€™s Guide to First Holy Communion by Elizabeth Ficocelli

Childā€™s Guide to Reconciliation by Elizabeth Ficocelli

The Little Caterpillar That Finds Jesus: A Parable of the Eucharist by Susan Brindle

The Caterpillar That Came to Church: A Story of the Eucharist by Irene Hooker

The Most Beautiful Thing in the World (confession) by Susan Brindle*

not much help since you need books for a higher age level.

I donā€™t know if you mean general interest for adults, try Peter Kreeftā€™s primer on the Sacraments for that, a good short handbook and intro, esp. for catechists.

Or are you talking more in depth, such as for those helping with RCIA or sacramental prep. Liturgical Press, ltp.org is the clearing house for much of what has been written for that ā€œmarketā€ in the last 30 years. Every publisher of RE textbooks and RCIA materials has sacramental programs and resources for children, teens and adults, some of them come free with the order of so many textbooks, some are extras.

try ignatius press, loyola, liguori, our Sunday visitor for books of special and general interest that are going to be orthodox and reliable. they all have websites and print catalogs
