Are there any Orthodox converts to Catholicism on this forum? Any Catholic converts to Orthodoxy? As someone who spent some time before my conversion trying to discern between the two, and who came to the Catholic Church, at least in part, through the guidance of a Melkite Deacon who was himself a former Latin Catholic, I’d be interested to hear your stories, if you would like to share.
Can we please keep this thread civil, and avoid Catholics chiding or criticising their Orthodox cousins and vice-versa. If someone says, ‘I left X Church because I thought their clergy were too Y’, that’s that person’s story, it’s not a prompt to criticise their experience of the Church.
Moderators, if you think this thread is a red rag to a bull, feel free to close it.
