“No government has the right to tell pro-life or religious organizations they must hire someone who doesn’t agree with their core mission,” said ADF Senior Counsel Ken Connelly. “New York is directly demeaning religious pro-life pregnancy centers and other faith-based organizations—like religious schools, Catholic hospitals, and even churches—by ordering them to violate their beliefs in key personnel and leadership decisions. The state is requiring our clients to contradict their convictions and undercut their freedom of association—requirements that are flatly unconstitutional.”

The State Senate article talks about making it so your employer cannot access your medical records. That is a good thing, HIPPA and health privacy are important.

There is not a single word in the bill about
organizations they must hire someone who doesn’t agree with their core mission
Not a word.

It seems the bloggers are creating boogeymen.

Yet, none of these things have anything to do with one’s employer accessing one’s medical records.

My doctor does not ask me what events I have marched at, nor record these events in my medical records.

Actually, people need to worry more about accessing mental health services.

You really don’t want that getting back to your boss.

Again, it is not my employer’s business what is in my medical records. I work for a Church, they would never look at my medical records!

I’m with you. I’m 100% pro life and religious liberty; but I don’t want my employer seeing my medical records or medical meta-data. They have to for some extent, but as little as possible.

Now, the caveat I’ll leave is that I haven’t read the bill, so I don’t know what nuggets of crap might b in there.
