:o Well i was looking at componys that support sinfull thinks like Gays…
First things first. Gays are not sinful. The Church teaches that homosexual acts are gravely disordered and the homosexual lifestyle is sinful. Homosexual men and women are our brothers and sisters in Christ and, like all of us, are due love, respect and understanding.

As to boycotts, that is a personal issue. Due to the inter-related nature of most large companies and associated charities to which they give, I am not convinced it (boycotts) do any good.

What I do personally is not give to umbrella organizations (like the United Way) and target my personal giving to organizations that support the values I believe in (Catholic Charities, Food For The Poor, Consolata Missionaries, Society For The Propagation of The Faith, etc.)

‘‘Gays’’ are not sinfull.

Homosexual acts are sinfull, but being a homosexual is not in and of itself a sin.

As to the question, how could you possibly know. Say I buy a certain type of battery for my car. The managing director and owner of the company that make that battery are homosexuals. How could I possibly know that. Furthermore, how could I know that they may be celebate and devout catholic homosexuals.

However, where it is patently obviously and publically directly connected to supporting and promoting homosexual sex then no I wouldn’t, like for example, buying a minority magazine that advocates such. While the majority of the cost will be going to the publisher and printer, those behind such a magazine are doing so to make a profit on something that is immoral and disordered.

Like how Disney World supports this? And how they have Gay Days in June (which I assume means supporting homosexual acts in some way)? Well I can tell you, I don’t really think I’ll be boycotting Disney World.

I don’t think I’m a terrible person.🤷

I myself could never understand being gay. But in the defense of gay people they in my opinion are people who just either are confused or something must have happened to them to turn to this way of life. I think we should pray for them and hope they can find their way back to God. I am sure that God understands their pain. But also to say that this is the right way to live, I must disagree. God says no. But pray for them. I am sure no one would choose to be this way. there has to be something that happened either emotionally or physically in their life.

Ya’all will go coocoo trying to figure out who to boycott. I suppose sometimes ties to abortion, porno etc. are obvious, but usually there is enough ambiguity that one really is never sure one way or the other.

That’s right. Better, methinks, if one wants to boycott is to pick ONE business, magazine, whatever you think is worth boycotting and do them, making sure they know why. You can’t do them all.

🤷

by the same token, do you only do business with christian organizations?

When grocery shopping we can avoid certain brands (I think Kraft may be one of the brands to avoid)
Forget who they support, Kraft is directly immoral–they’re trying to drive Sarah Farms, a local Arizona dairy company, out of business so they can corner the market and make milk as expensive here as on the East Coast.

That’s called “forestalling” and it’s a mortal sin (a kind of theft).
