Boyfriend with HPV

I do not have enough time to reply to everyone now but thank you for your helpful advice and prayers. If you have any experience at all with HPV and genital warts and open to sharing your story and how you coped please feel free to message me or post here. Was your spouse a virgin and you weren’t? Do they have any signs of HPV now? Did you sleep around before marriage? Ever have genital warts?

Please, please, please pray for me. My boyfriend is a “hardcore” practicing Catholic now. I look up to him and am so proud of the person he is today. He deeply regrets his past and is so ashamed of the HPV. I love him but naturally worried about cervical cancer and throat cancer.

The doctor simply said never have unprotected sex and don’t have sex at all when warts are present. 🤷 I love my boyfriend and couldn’t imagine breaking up with him because he has HPV. If we were to marry I will just have to avoid when warts are present and get tested yearly for HPV and have pap smears. Thanks for your help.🤷

Condoms will absolutely not protect against HPV, including the strain that causes warts. HPV is from skin-to-skin contact and, not to be graphic…there is still genital-to-genital contact with condoms.

Something to think about. I would, if it were me, believe I would still get a strain of HPV, Gardasil or not. But that’s probably true of a sexual relationship with anyone who is no longer a virgin. Assume they have HPV.
