Just hearing those names brought back some memories!

I grew up in Chicagoland in the '60’s. I remember many a day waiting for the test-pattern to go away, hearing the Anthem, suffering through the 1/2-hour farm report, then the Ray Rayner show!!
(Where’d he get those goofy coveralls anyway!) Wasn’t the duck’s name Chelveston or something?

Wow, I bet most of the younger crowd here doesn’t even understand what you mean by “test pattern and Anthem”. Ah the good old days!
