Geezerbob is just too obsessed with towing the Republican party line to ever imply guilt on any large company. Everyone knows what is good for the free market is ultimately good for everyone, and anyone who disagrees is a stinking pinko.

The funny thing is, left wing “heresy” is condemned (i.e., “Our God who is in heaven”) but right wing is just glossed over. It’s okay to have right wing opinions that conflict with Church teachings, but left wing ones make you a “dissenter”.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Obviously a tragedy and I will pray for this poor woman, but I believe that clause (repaying the insurer any amounts awarded in court to the extent the insurer paid the claim) is pretty standard. I don’t see any problem with Wal-Mart collecting. The lawyers who won a large sum from that case certainly didn’t mind collecting their fees. Furthermore I believe Wal-Mart then went back and didn’t take the repayment (after public outcry). Am I wrong with that statement?
And actually, Wal-Mart management made a decision not to collect from the woman – waiving their rights.

The real villain in this affair is her lawyer, who led her astray and will still collect his exhorbitant fee.
