I probably am not using the correct words for all this, but here it goes.

I have the latin Breviarium Romanum. I would like to start praying the LOTH but I don’t know how to. When I have prayed this with other Traditonal Catholics, they kept switching pages and stuff, so I seem not know even know where to begin.

Is there any online help that anyone would know of?

Do I need to say Diurnale? I remember that may be important.

Some initial questions:
  1. How many volumes is your copy? 4 volumes, 2 volumes, or 1 volume?
  2. What date is it?
3 . Which rubrics do you wish to follow? (The Traditional communities usually follow the 1961 rubrics)

Thank you ahead of time…I really didn’t know if anyone was gonna be able to answer me.

Volume? Well, it’s only one book…is that what you are asking?
Year- 1960
Rubics- 1961

Why not ask your friends who use it what resources should be consulted?

Could you pm me with your email address? I have something that might help you.

Also, does it have Matins or is it only a Diurnale (i.e. with some or all of the following - Lauds, Prime, Terce, Sext, None, Vespers, and Compline )

LOL…little smarty pants hu!!! But you are right

I don’t live by these friends. It’s the Institute of Christ the King…but I am here in Lubbock, Texas and we don’t have a traditional priest, except for an independent one…

A Diurnal is a book containing (generally) Lauds, Prime, Terce, Sext, None, Vespers, and Compline. It omits Matins.

Some Anglican/Episcopal religious communities have one Little day hour called Diurnum.

Generally, a Diurnal will be published with the Latin title “Horae Diurnae” (Day Hours).
