Brits Launch Largest Ever Stem Cell Study for Heart Disease

LONDON, October 12, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - British scientists will launch a study of the effectiveness of adult stem cells to treat heart disease. Various techniques of obtaining the cells will be tried including extraction from bone marrow and the use of growth factor drugs to stimulate their production in the blood.

Embryonic stem cells still have plenty of promise. The argument is that their use is morally wrong, not that they aren’t potentially cures for uncurable diseases.
