Father Elijah is superb!! 🙂 While Macfarlane’s books are entertaining, I got the strong notion that he cast himself in some of the heroes’ roles and found that very off-putting.
 
Bud’s marital problems were hot topics here in the forums back in '04. You might want to do a site search for more info that might link up to some websites.

Has anyone ever hoped that his stories could be make into movies? I think the stories would make GREAT movies. We haven’t had too many Catholic movies (even fictional ones) in the mainstream lately.
 
I’ve read all of them and they just aren’t my cup of tea but I am a big fan of the Mary Foundation! 😃
