Burial without a Priest

I have just been contacted by a friend in a country where the Church is persecuted. He wants appropriate prayers for a burial. There is no priest.

My suggestion has been to use the Office for the Dead from his breviary, or, if short of time, Compline for Solemnities (Sunday II). The funeral will have to wait for another place at another time.

Any ideas, anybody?
