I have 3 bibles my grandfather gave me that I have no use for, these bibles are also a little tattered and well are also King James versions. I was thinking burning but that just didn’t sound right, so I thought of burying them, I just don’t know. What do you think I should do?

Oh and btw the burning bibles title was my co-workers idea so that more people would read this, but the thought of burning them did come to mind and I do think it sounds wrong.

Thank you and God bless,

Daniel

IMHO I would donate them somewhere - a poor area of town, a poor church…even though it’s KJV getting someone started on Christianity is surely a good nudge int he right direction!

Did you search the threads? It seems I saw this question not to long ago. IMHO, I would bury before I would burn.

From Catholic Answers Quick Questions:
**Q: What is the appropriate means to dispose of an old Bible? **
A: There is no specifically mandated means of disposing of old Bibles. Some Catholics follow a custom of disposing of religious articles that have been blessed either by burying or burning them, but even that is not mandated by law. If the Bible has been blessed you might choose to follow that custom. If not, dispose of it as you would any other book. If it’s still in fair condition, you might put it on a book donation table to benefit someone else.

It’s okay to burn them, but do it reverently. I would bring them outside and light a fire specifically for this purpose. I wouldn’t throw them into the a burnnig trash heap or a fireplace. I may, however, reverently put them into a fireplace and wait for them to be consumed.

If there NAB BIBLES you should burn them . The commentarys come straight out of the mouth of Satan to destory and hinder peoples faith.

If you burned those peoples you’d be doing the church a service
