I hear ya. I do this whenever Im on public transport - which isnt often and usually only when Im abroad - and Ive had people look at me for several minutes to see why I stood up Ive had to physically point to my now empty seat and say to the lady or elderly gentleman to please take it. They looked more shocked than anything else. Sad. It should just be a given. But it’s good to hear decency and manners are still alive and kicking in some parts of the world.
