Given that the Catholic Church supports private property, free enterprise, a just wage, and the right to medical care & family benefits it would seem that business owners have some high standards (and possibly some conflicting standards?) to meet.
I would like to open a dialogue with other Catholic business owners to discuss what the Church’s teachings mean from a practical business perspective and how others are meeting these standards. There are many other social justice elements in our Church’s teachings and you may feel free to add them.
The purpose of my thread is to determine how I might better live up to these teachings and share suggestions with others.
This isn’t a straw-man for debate; I think that the Catholic business community would benefit from this dialogue.
