Hello, I am a Protestant studying RCC Theology and I have a followup question on IVF.

If a properly wedded couple are engaging in healthy sexual relations is IVF still out of the question?

Hi John,

God designed the conception of children to be the result of the physical expression of the parents’ wedding vows. The fact that it is physically possible to conceive children in a Petri dish does not validate such behavior any more than rearing children in an institution validates such as an acceptable alternative to family life. As I wrote: context IS important.
