Well, since I can’t post a comment discussing the Union of Brest or Eastern Catholicism, I guess I’m gone forever (yep, that was reported). I have no intention of coming back. I would like to thank all those here that have supported calm, rational conversation with me. I guess when someone asks for an honest opinion, and we give it, using sources to back up that opinion, we’re apparently doing something that goes against the Forum rules. Yet, non-Catholics can come here and proselytise like there’s no end , and to be fair most of them don’t, but it’s quite common. I also said, I don’t think we are supposed to criticise Vatican II and this was reported too. I understand the mods want to welcome people, but, much like the condemnation of the Covington Catholic boys, the leaders here have become overzealous in their own condemnation. God bless.

Was it in the correct forum? I’ve seen things get reported simply for being in the wrong place.

I hope you’ll reconsider and come back. I always enjoy your posts and learn so much from them.

I ran into the same problem discussing a different particular schismatic group. Unfortunately, viewpoint discrimination happens here. About all you can do is just refuse to participate in certain topics in order to avoid flags and unjust penalties.

Sorry to see you go. Between the suspensions and voluntary departures, this place feels a lot like “Survivor” most days, and I don’t think anyone “in charge” cares.

Yeah, I come in each day praying I haven’t been suspended. People tend to take things the wrong way. But rather than ask the poster for clarification, flag instead. And with the mods only reading the flagged post before deleting it, they don’t get the reasoning behind a poster’s words.
