Hello,

I’m trying to find a guide for the Byzantine Liturgy (St John Chrysostom).

What I need is not the spiritual explanation but I need a source (book, presentation, videos…etc.) that explains what the priest does and what the deacons and altar servers do in details…for example: when would the deacon bring the censor? how to prepare it? what prayers to be said on the way to church? what prayers to be said in specific parts of the church?

Am I clear enough?

Thanks in advance & God Bless!

Most of this is available in clergy books, some of it varies by local custom, and much of it is different according to Particular Church.

I’m imagining there must be an Byzantine version of the GIRM?
