Byzantinization in the Eastern Church?

DL - you didn’t make that up, indeed it does exist. Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky was accused of “byzantinism” by his most Latinized bishops when he gradually replaced liturgical practices overtly Latin in the UGCC with more traditional Kyivan liturgical practices.

At least one of his bishops even wrote to Rome at length to complain about this - and Rome responded by blessing every one of Metropolitan Andrey’s initiatives and liturgical books.
