today I partially liberated myself from cable TV and or satellite by calling and going to a basic plan of just local TV. I don’t watch TV that much so why pat nearly $2oo dollars a month when I just want local news, weather, and local programing. I know families and others pay a lot more and use the TV as built-in babysitters and ‘white noise.’
As a number of channels are playing re-runs that are very old, the newer programming leaves a deep dent in morality and ethics, why should I or anyone pay for junk TV?
Yes, there are a couple of shows that I will miss, but I don’t like being held hostage with a cable noose around my neck so I think I will survive.
I thought about cutting the ph. off but decided to keep it. I will also keep the Internet for now because that is how I stay in contact with the family. I have taken the week off from Facebook which has become a pity page or rant page. I don’t want to be owned by the electronic age or cyberspace.

We don’t have cable available ant would have to put up a tall antenna for broadcast. Had satellite but cancelled that a year ago. I’ll stream TWC, and network over internet if wanted. It is not frequent, however.

i have antenna tv. no cable, no satellite.
i like the reruns of the westerns and mysteries and some PBS shows. lots of commercials which is annoying. i miss Turner Classic Movies and Detective Kenda, but there is a lot i won’t miss.

I have Netflix and Hulu instead of cable or satellite. Cheaper and no commercials. 👍

Ordinary tv which I’m watching less and less,
I don’t have Facebook .

I have kept the Internet 'cause you can watch full-length movies on UTUB if you wish and there are a lot of religious-spiritual offerings. I am waiting for the movie ‘THE PASSION’ to become available.
