**Sacramento, CA (LifeNews.com) – **A California lawmaker says state oversight on the committee Proposition 71 charged with distributing billions in grants for human cloning and embryonic stem cell research is crucial because of the scandal over faked research in South Korea.

Sen. Deborah Ortiz, a Democrat, says she plans to reintroduce her constitutional amendment to require the committee to submit to stricter conflict of interest and open meeting rules.

Proposition 71 was a change to California’s Constitution, and the same voters who made that decision decided parents didn’t need to be notified when their 15-old daughters obtained Abortions.

So, Until we educate Californians about the nature of life and just what it is that is being slaughter in Abortuaries, oversight will be the best we can hope for from the people of this state.

First, we need to educate all those who claim to be Catholics and any other brand of Christians… To do that, we’ll need for the bishops not to be as badly comprimised as some of them have been (Cardinal Mahony not only refuses to talk about the evil of Abortion, but he also tried to have the Catholic Crusaders arrested for daring to wear T-shirts that said “You can’t be CATHOLIC and Pro-Choice” to a ceremony honoring a newly elected Pro-Abortion Mayor along with some other pro-Abortion politicians).

I believe if we can successfully do that, we can change this. Otherwise, what Sen Ortiz is proposing may be the best we’ll get.

In Christ, Michael
