I remember reading somewhere that a bishop in Colorado or some western state excommunicated Call To Action and a host of other catholic disention groups from both ends of the spectrum.
Then the vatican upheld it.
Apparently everyone who is a member of one of those organizations is supposed to renounce their membership, lest they are excommunicated also.
I’m wondering if that excommunication applies to all members of those organizations, or only members in the diocese of the bishop who made the proclamation?
