In this day and age MONK is angelic! Clean comedy that Catholics can watch. Heck you could even let your kids watch it!!

Monk is great as most sitcoms are only 30 minutes of tripe whereas he is 60 minutes of hilarious clean comedy!!

I think everybody should check out that show

I love the show and have watched all episodes. It is truly funny!!:rotfl:

I like Monk too but I don’t consider it a comedy, I consider it Drama - good, clean drama with humor mixed it!

I personally consider it comedy but if it isn’t then its the most funniest drama show EVER made.

Sharona: “You know psychics do help police investigations.”
Monk: “…Oh sure 10,000 psychics making 100 000 predictions, One of them is bound to be right”
😛

He was also very funny in Galaxy Quest, one of my favorite movies.

**I just finished watching the second season on DVD. The movie place doesn’t have the first season, go figure.

But it is a great show, and I find myself paying very special attention to see if I can solve the crime the same time Monk does.**

My favorite scene:

Monk is handling nuclear warheads on a rack of some sort (trying to adjust them of course).

The girl says with panic in her voice, “Monk, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!? THOSE ARE NUCLEAR WARHEADS!!!”

Monk responds with helpless panic, “I know! STOP ME!”

ROFL!

Ahh…Galaxy Quest. Hilarious. Our favorite scene in that is when they are pulling the ship out for the first time and…

SSSCCCRRREEEEEEECCHHH…

Scraping the wall all the way out. I laugh out loud every time.

Monk!!!I love the show.I even have the DVD’s…I confess that television show is turning me a little “Monk-ish”…But I don’t care!!! Or looking it on another way,“It is a gift and a curse”.

Cheers,fans of Monk,
Aleks.

Ah, Monk. The greatest show on television, although I hate Natalie (Sharona’s replacement) and what happened with Stottlemayer’s wife. They should have replaced Sharona with a different kind of woman, not just a slightly skinnier Gentile version of the same. Like a clutzy brunette with glasses or a grouchy Chinese girl, or something. And Stottlemayer’s wife, aside from being the most annoying kind of human being (soft-spoken wealthy hippy indie filmmakers), was a jerk, too.

But to dwell on the positive: Monk’s probably the best, most original character in a long time. I imagine his creation went like this. Someone said, “Wouldn’t it suck to be like Sherlock Holmes and notice everything all the time?” And then someone else said, “Isn’t that obsessive-compulsive disorder?” And the rest is history.

I also love the scenes with Randy and Stottlemayer, and Randy acting like a five year old (“Guess what…Go on, guess.”). He’s probably my second favorite, after Stottlemayer.

It is the best thing on television, and I’m amazed how clean it is, considering it’s on USA. Psych too, actually, though that’s not as good as Monk.

This is one of my favorite shows, and one that is a good show without resorting to graphic sex, violence, ect.
Good show, and Tony Shaloub is excellent! I also like the supporting characters as well, the chemistry between them is great.
I loved the one where the Captain was in anger management!
My husband and I try not to miss this every Friday.

I hated it when Sharona was replaced too, but Natalie has grown on me.
Randy is cool, the whole cast just works together so well.
They seem to be adding in more parts for the phychologist, too
(His name escapes me right now)
My brother has obsessive/compulsive disorder and phobias, and I have some too, so this was an additional reason I was attracted to the show.

Sharona was very good but Nancy is great. I think her daughter and the fact that she is a widow like Monk makes for great chemistry. I just hope Tony will eventually write in a romance between them one day soon:)
