Just wanted to share what God did for me this week. My job is taking care of a friend who’s in a wheelchair. She was hospitalized this weekend and well, if I don’t work… I don’t get paid… heh heh.
I went to mass and as the collection plate was passed around I pulled out a buck. Whoopty doo… then I said to myself “That’s just being a !!! cheapskate! If Abraham was going to stab his kid to death the least I could do is put five bucks in!!” so I did… I put five bucks in the plate, even though I knew that in all probability I was not going to get paid next week.
When I got home my cell phone rang and it was the oncall supervisor needing me to come in for another client. So while I still won’t be getting my usual paycheck, at least I won’t have to say to my landlord I have nothing for him
Needless to say it was an interesting weekend but that’s another thread entirely. :whacky:
