Can a baptized baby receive the anointing of the sick?

I asked a priest for this sacrament. My baby is seven months old and he was very sick. The priest said that the sacrament is only for kids older than six years old. I understand that according to James 5:13-16 the main purpose of this sacrament is that the sick person can be healed and, if he has sins, they will be forgiven.
 
Primarily, anointing of the sick is for spiritual healing. Physical healing might occur, but it is not the main purpose of the sacrament. Certainly it should not be asked for with the idea that the person who receives it automatically will be physically healed. With baptized children below the age of reason, they cannot commit personal sin and so do not need anointing of the sick if they are in danger of death. Rather, when in danger of death, such children can be given confirmation, for spiritual strengthening and to more fully initiate them into the Christian religion.
