Can a Catholic priest determine the future success of a relationship by looking at a picture of the couple?

My opinion is that this is a werid question.

Can anyone determine the future success of a couple by looking at a picture of them? No.

Priests are not fortune tellers any more than the rest of us.
 
I feel like he’s asking a hypothetical, for whatever reason. I’d be very surprised if this is a real thing going on, very skeptical of a priest’s ability to do this regardless of what’s on the picture frame.

The title may be a translation issue. By “picture” the OP may be meaning an overview of the relationship. Not an actual photograph as that would not make logical sense.
 
Well in that case. No. Of course not. Priests aren’t fortune tellers with crystal balls dabbling in the occult.

Is there a priest claiming this or are you asking if all priests have this power?
 
Well, there’s a priest who do that by using a cross and a divine intervention of the god.

I’m a devoted Catholic but I don’t believe in these things. Need to mention also the priest don’t charge any fee. Also he’s conducting healing masses.
 
No, I don’t believe he is capable of knowing, nor should he be claiming that he does. It serves no purpose.

Because this sounds like “psychic” baloney to me.

Hahaha, of course not! Some people give too much power to the opinion of priests. Just like you, a priest can only guess about the future success of any marriage.

For the record I have several pictures of my then fiancee and I at the gun range for a date night. And last week we went axe throwing for a date night. And we’ve been married 17 years.
 
Some people claim to be able to pick up on body language clues to determine the status of a relationship, but the problem with selfies and portraits is they’re “posed” and they only capture a moment in time.

It’s easier to get a sense of how a relationship looks from a candid photo, but again, it only captures a moment in time.

If you looked at a series of photos over the years, both posed and candid, sometimes information about the dynamic of the relationships gets revealed, but it’s still subject to error.

Nor can you predict the future with 100% accuracy.

To add to this:

Is this a priest who claims some special charismatic “gift”, such as the ability of St. Padre Pio to see inside peoples’ souls?

Is his bishop or superior aware of his claims and what is his reaction to them?
