Is it permissible for a Catholic to be given “blessings” or “offerings” by a member of a different religion (I.e. Hinduism) whilst not participating in any such non-Christian rituals himself?
It would be better if they didn’t.
The “blessing” is in vain anyway. Best case scenario, it is just empty words that means nothing. Worst case scenario it vexes you with an evil spirit.
Psalms even says that pagan “gods” are just devils.
I can’t speak from the Catholic point of view, but I would think that anytime someone wishes to bestow love upon another, no matter how it may be perceived by the onlooker, only good can come from that.
