Can a deacon administer the sacrament of marriage?

I’m curious to know if a Catholic deacon has the authority to administer the sacrament of marriage.
 
No, he does not. Neither does a priest or a bishop or the pope for that matter. The sacrament of marriage is administered by the bride and groom to each other. A priest or deacon is the Church’s official witness to the marriage.
