I assume that you want to know if a terminally ill poor person can arrange to have his body donated to science after he dies to spare his family burial expenses, and that you are not asking if he can arrange to be killed in the name of science to spare his family his continuing “upkeep.” If that is the case, then anyone, poor or not, can arrange to donate their body to science but they must make arrangements for a fit disposition of their remains after science is finished with the body. Such a fit disposition need not be elaborate or expensive. Medical schools will often cremate the body for the family and return the cremains. The container with the cremains inside may then either be buried or committed to the sea. (Note, the cremains cannot be scattered. They must be contained within a suitable container.)
