Can a drunk priest grant absolution?

I love my pastor. He loves whiskey. Last Saturday, I had a face-to-face confession with him. He was drunk; and I mean fall-down drunk. I confessed. When I was done confessing he said “I absolve you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.” He then immediately asked me to pray for him, which I did.

Was this confession / sacrament valid? Do I need to “re-confess”?
 
Dear friend,

If he was as intoxicated as you say–so that he would have a difficult time standing, then I doubt very much that he was clear headed enough to grasp all that the sacrament entails. No, I doubt that the sacrament was valid. We will keep him in our prayers.
