Hello everyone, I want to ask is it possible hipersex girl do celibate? Thanks to the gift of God, I still can control myself. Hipersex is a disorder that the person has high sexual desire. The desire is higher than normal people.

If you are unmarried, you are required by God’s commandments to remain celibate. God would not command the impossible.

Yes, it’s possible.

I would suggest doing some reading on possible causes: Hypersexuality - Wikipedia

I would also suggest doing a great deal of prayer and fasting. If you desire to overcome this, it may take time but with prayer and fasting you will.

I can guarantee there are plenty of people who are very sexual who have chosen celibacy and done so successfully.

Ay’yup…we each do not get to chose our own personal “cross to bear” but we should always do so in accordance with God’s wishes.
As we are told, He will never burden us with more than we can handle.

To the OP, please consult your priest or a trusted Sister.
Call your parish and ask for a spiritual counselor appointment and get appropriate church based help aside from internet profundity.
They will be more than happy to accommodate.

Yes, through grace of God.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
2343 Chastity has laws of growth which progress through stages marked by imperfection and too often by sin. “Man . . . day by day builds himself up through his many free decisions; and so he knows, loves, and accomplishes moral good by stages of growth.”
Definitions:
celibate (noun): a person who abstains from marriage and sexual relations.

Hypersexuality can be a symptom of OCD or of Bipolar disorder. Presumably some treatments for the underlying conditions are available and may ease the symptoms.

God would not command the impossible.
  • Command A: Thought shall not kill. Notice how their are no qualifiers on that Commandment.
  • Command B: Old Testament: The Perfect Immutable God commanded people to kill.
  • The Law of non-contradiction is true.

  • When someone commits suicide, we say it was not freely chosen due to mental illness. Thus, no punishment occurs.
  • The hipersex girl commits sexual sin, we say it was freely chosen despite mental illness. Thus, punishment occurs.

I think you folks are derailing a thread in which someone is seeking solace and help on a completely different subject.
Out of respect to the OP start a new thread or PM each other.
Thank you,
M

Yes. Celibacy can be a Special Blessing…

Hello everyone, today I went to a nun to be prayed. But, it went worse. I’m sad and crying because I have this disease. I really want to be chaste.

Be patient with me. for yet , It does seems a bit far-fetched to absorb.

How about this suggestion:

Since neither we nor a nun appears capable of helping you,

How about you consider speaking with a medical doctor ?

_

St Mary of Egypt had the same issue. Pray for her intercession.

I wonder if remaining chaste, praying for chastity, etc. are actually attempts to treat the symptom. If you truly have an illness, you need to treat the illness, not the symptom. The ‘sin,’ in my opinion, is neither here nor there. Do your best. But . . . whatever. Praying might help you feel better, but . . . find a doctor.

Does someone with anorexia sin by not eating? Or do we not judge as harshly because it doesn’t involve sex?
