When distributing Communion, may a priest dip the host into the chalice and give Communion saying “The body and blood of Christ”? I have only seen this happen once.
Yes. This method of distribution of Communion is known as “intinction.” When Communion is distributed by intinction, the communicant must receive Communion on the tongue.
