Can a social network be consecrated?

Maybe.

One definition of consecrate is to make sacred. So… I don’t know. It seems pretty out there. One would think this would have to be a private use network dedicated for the religious faithful.

A bishop couldn’t consecrate Facebook or Twitter.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge than I will chime in.

Peace,

I like the idea of using social media to connect with other people for faith related activities such as Bible study and prayer requests but I don’t know if I would go as far as to look at consecrating it.
