Can a marriage be valid and not sacramental? Can you give me examples of such a marriage? Is it acceptable for a Catholic to be in a valid marriage that is not sacramental?
Because baptism is the gateway to the other sacraments and marriage is a sacrament, a marriage between two unbaptized persons or a marriage between a baptized person and an unbaptized person ordinarily would be presumed valid but not sacramental.

If a Catholic has the necessary dispensation to marry an unbaptized person, it is licit for him to be in a marriage the Church ordinarily will presume valid but non-sacramental.
