It is clear to me that an immortal being cannot have any part since otherwise it is subjected to decomposition and decay. But could it have a form?

Only a human being in his/ her spiritual body (pneumatikon soma). It is clear to me that an immortal being cannot have any part since otherwise it is subjected to decomposition and decay. But could it have a form?

The rational souls of humans and angels are immortal and simple, without parts, but have attributes - the faculties. What do you mean by form, are you using the definition from philosophy or the common term?It is clear to me that an immortal being cannot have any part since otherwise it is subjected to decomposition and decay. What is the difference between two?The rational souls of humans and angels are immortal and simple, without parts, but have attributes - the faculties. What do you mean by form, are you using the definition from philosophy or the common term?
This is assuming that decomposition and decay always happens in every instance and has happened and will continue to happen always in every place. It is clear to me that an immortal being cannot have any part since otherwise it is subjected to decomposition and decay. But could it have a form?

“Form” as used in most modern English (1) refers to a shape, solid, or moldline; in human life, the “human form” is the shape of the solid bordered by the surface of the skin. What is the difference between two?
Ok. Now another question: Does soul/life has any form/shape?“Form” as used in most modern English (1) refers to a shape, solid, or moldline; in human life, the “human form” is the shape of the solid bordered by the surface of the skin.
In philosophy, “form” is something quite different, namely, a principle that fills the solid to make it what it is. In human life, the form is the soul or the life, because it is the life that makes our bodies human bodies.

(1). The British school system uses the word “form” to mean an age level in the curriculum; I’m reasonably sure you didn’t mean that.
Not as far as we know, as shapes, solids and forms require matter, in our present knowledge.Ok. Now another question: Does soul/life has any form/shape?
This should answer your question: the soul is immortal and the body is not immortal.Ok. Now another question: Does soul/life has any form/shape?
So soul is formless? Not as far as we know, as shapes, solids and forms require matter, in our present knowledge.
Certainly your soul or life, filling your body, is expressed by the shape of your solid body. But that is governed wholly by the physical and biological laws operating within your body.

No it doesn’t answer my question. An immortal thing can have form/shape or it could be formless. This should answer your question: the soul is immortal and the body is not immortal.
The soul is immaterial. No it doesn’t answer my question. An immortal thing can have form/shape or it could be formless.
So it is formless? The soul is immaterial.
The soul has substantial form.So it is formless?
That you have already said it. Does it have any form/shape?The soul has substantial form.

… QUOTE]
Scripture says creation is groaning until it is going to be transformed.
Christ wants us to be changed “from glory to glory” if we follow His will truly.
Creation, a big thing, comprises many parts. If any parts as such are going to decay, that doesn’t undermine the point.
What you say is true where, when and if certain assumptions hold.
In transfiguration, though, human being/form is maintained, only changed.Soul is reason, like mind.
Spirit is expression of soul.
If soul is in reason of Truth, Love is its expression (radiance).
Within the human body it takes up the basic shape of a human - Being.
If soul expression is unconditional love, the radiance is seen outside of the body and there is no boundaries for form/shape. (transfiguration).
IMHO
Thanks. In transfiguration, though, human being/form is maintained, only changed.
