A pretty straightforward question. Angels are pure intellect, but can that intellect ever be unconscious? (Their intellectual movements are done on a subconscious level unaware to themselves)

I think it is unknown. Angels are created pure spirits (with will and intelligence), and as such, have no dependence on matter for existence or for any activities. That dogma that the secondary task of the good angels is the protection of men and care for their salvation does not imply constant awareness, even by such as a guardian angel given at baptism.
Psychology includes the investigation of the facts of consciousness viewed as phenomena of the human mind so it is quite different since the body is included.
